The Interoperability meeting will be held at Jianguo Hotel Shanghai, 500 meters away from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory. How to get to Jianguo Hotel from Pudong airport

Taxi: A taxi from the airport is about 180 CNY and takes about 60 minutes.  

Metro: It takes about 90 minutes with 7 CNY. Take Line 2 to Guanglan Road (广兰路), change to another train (also Line 2) at the same station to People Square(人民广场), and then transfer to Line 1 to Xujiahui (徐家汇). Please exit from Gate 2, and walk back about 20m to Jianguo Hotel.

Maglev: To experience the high speed of the Maglev train, you can take Shanghai Maglev Demonstration Line to Longyang Road (龙阳路). It takes about 8 minutes with 40 CNY for a single trip by presenting air-ticket of the same day. From Longyang Road you can transfer to Metro Line 2 to People Square(人民广场), and then transfer to Line 1 to Xujiahui (徐家汇).

How to get to Jianguo Hotel from the Hongqiao airport

Taxi: A taxi from the airport is about 60 CNY and takes about 30 minutes.

Metro: It takes about 40 minutes with 4 CNY. Take Line 10 to South Shanxi Road (陕西南路) and then transfer to Line 1 to Xujiahui (徐家汇). Please exit from Gate 2, and walk back about 20m to Jianguo Hotel.

 How to take a taxi

 You need to follow the signs at the airport and go to the specific taxi waiting area. Please don't follow the unofficial taxi drivers offering their services from within the terminals. Please ask your taxi driver to take you to 439 North Caoxi Road (near Nandan Road), Jianguo Hotel Shanghai.（徐汇区漕溪北路439号(近南丹路)，上海建国宾馆）

How to take the metro 

You can buy the ticket through the ticket machines which provide Chinese and English menu, or the ticket counters. The ticket machines only accept 5, 10 and 20 CNY note, and the coins. Please note your luggage and handbag need to go through the security check machine at the entrance of metro stations. More details can be found here.

During your stay in Shanghai, you can buy a public transportation card which is re-chargeable at the ticket counters with which you may feel more convenient when you need to take the Metro, bus or taxi frequently.
